Inner Echo ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

Analytics Data

We collect anonymous usage analytics through Mixpanel to help us understand how the app is used and improve the user experience. This includes:

• Device Identifier: An anonymous device ID that is not linked to your personal identity
• Product Interaction Data: Events tracking how you interact with the app, including:
  • App opens and tab navigation
  • Pack creation, viewing, editing, and deletion
  • Recording sessions (start, completion, duration)
  • Playback sessions (start, pause, stop, duration)
  • Sleep timer usage
• Device Information: Platform type (iOS), whether you're using a test/debug build
• First Seen Date: The date you first launched the app
• Usage Frequency: Number of unique days you've used the app

Important: All analytics data is anonymous. We do not link this data to your identity, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What We Do NOT Collect: We do not collect, store, or transmit any user-generated content, including:

• Pack names or titles you create
• Affirmation text you write or edit
• Audio content of your recordings
• Any personal information you may include in your custom packs

Local Data (Stored Only on Your Device)

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Audio Recordings: Your voice recordings of affirmations
• Custom Packs: Affirmation packs you create or customize
• Usage Tracking: Calendar dates when you used the app (for future feature development)
• App Preferences: Your settings and preferences within the app

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected analytics data to:

• Understand how users interact with the app
• Identify and fix technical issues
• Improve app features and user experience
• Make product development decisions

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, except:

• Mixpanel: Our analytics provider processes anonymous usage data on our behalf. Mixpanel's privacy policy is available at https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Data Storage and Security

• Analytics Data: Processed and stored by Mixpanel in accordance with their privacy policy
• Local Data: Stored on your device using iOS secure storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and file system)
• Audio Recordings: Never leave your device. There is currently no sharing functionality in the app.

Payment Information

Inner Echo is currently offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, all payment processing will be handled entirely by Apple through the App Store.

We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information. Apple's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data. You can review Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy.

If paid features are introduced, the only payment-related information we may receive from Apple is:

• Whether you have an active subscription (to provide access to premium features)
• The type of subscription or purchase made
• Transaction identifiers (for support purposes)

We will never have access to your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or other sensitive payment information.

Your Privacy Rights

Data You Control

You have complete control over:

• Audio Recordings: Delete any recording at any time from within the app
• Custom Packs: Delete or modify your custom affirmation packs
• App Data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data

Analytics Opt-Out

Currently, there is no in-app option to opt out of anonymous analytics collection. If you wish to stop analytics collection, you must uninstall the app.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Data Retention

• Analytics Data: Retained by Mixpanel according to their data retention policies
• Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app

Note: Inner Echo does not sell personal information. The anonymous analytics data we collect is not considered "personal information" under CCPA as it cannot be linked to you.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to Access: Request access to the data we hold about you
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Right to Object: Object to processing of your data

Note: Because our analytics are anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally, we cannot identify or retrieve your specific data for access, correction, or deletion requests. Uninstalling the app will remove all local data from your device.

International Data Transfers

Analytics data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using Inner Echo, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence.
